Holly's Story

Holly is a sweet grandma looking for her new home. She's 15 years old, but still loves to slowly chase a ball and romp outside. Holly weighs just under 16lbs. With her long body we believe she is part dachshund.

Holly came to us after her owner went into assisted living. She is a very sweet girl who still has a ton of love to give. Holly only has one eye due to a past issue but she gets around just fine and you would never know. Holly is great with every dog she meets and only barks when she wants food. She has an incredible appetite and is a certified member of the clean plate club.

Holly is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. She recently had full blood work which showed slightly elevated kidney values which should be monitored with regular blood work. Holly also has a lot of "old lady bumps" on her skin that are not concerning, but should be watched. She's currently on an antibiotic for anaplasma (a tick-borne illness), but showing no signs of active infection.

We're hoping to find Holly a comfortable home for her remaining months or years.

To apply to adopt Holly, please fill out an application at vintagepetrescue.org/adopt
