Holly's Story
Let’s welcome Holly to the rescue! She got her freedom ride from the shelter this afternoon and, after a short break to stretch her legs. Holly is searching for her perfect family. The shelter told us she is a 3 month old goldendoodle, about 12 lbs, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations.

Creole Poodle Rescue adoption process:

Thank you for your interest in one of our rescued poodles (or poodle mixes). We have an adoption process that goes as follows:

All adoptions start with an application, which we will attach to this email. Please print, fill out and email back to us. There is also a link to our online application, you can use either one. We will review the application and check your veterinarian references. Please make sure you provide us with the phone number of your vet and list your pet name(s).

If your vet gives you a recommendation, we will then contact you for a short phone interview and about setting up a home visit. Many vets will not release information without your permission, please notify them in advance.

We only adopt within a 300 mile radius of New Orleans, where we have available volunteers. You must be 21 years old with a valid ID to adopt from our rescue. A secure above ground fenced in backyard and an established vet reference (on a current or previous dog) is required.

All of our dogs are in foster homes throughout southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi. We do not have a central location where you can “meet” the dogs as we use foster homes. Once your application has been approved we will then set up a meeting between you and the dog through the foster mom.

Our goal is to match the dog with the family. Our foster moms provide us with information about their personalities. We try to find out what you are looking for in a pet, and then match the dog to your home situation.

Our adoption fees are: MOST toys are $300, standards poodles and large doodles $500, puppies $650. senior standards are $350 and smaller senior dogs are $100, but refer to Petfinder listing for the adoption fee of the dog you are interested in. This includes all vetting: spay/neuter, all shots, heart worm test, 1st months heart worm prevention, and grooming on intake into rescue.

Thank you for your understanding, the dogs are our number one concern and we want to make sure they go to the right homes. If you have any questions about our adoption process, please feel free to ask.

Due to the high volume of emails and applications we receive, we apologize that we can not respond to them all. We are volunteers....

Here is a web address for our adoptable dogs:

www.petfinder.com/pet-search?shelterid=LA135

Please use your PC (not a phone or tablet (link below only works on a pc)

Below is a link to our online adoption application:

Creole Poodle Rescue Adoption Application
