Holly's Story

Holly is just over a year old now and really coming into her own as an amazing companion. This black Lab mix weighs about 50 pounds and has a heart every bit as big as those soulful puppy eyes. She came to us as a stray, but it didn’t take long to see just how special she is.

Over the past few months, Holly has truly blossomed. She’s settling in, gaining confidence, and showing off what a fun, well-rounded dog she’s becoming. She does great meeting new people and other dogs, and she loves having canine friends to play with.

Holly is always up for an adventure. She rides great in the car and is a perfect sidekick for outings—whether she’s tagging along to Lowe’s with her foster mom or just enjoying a change of scenery. She’s the kind of dog who’s happy to be wherever her people are.

She’s housetrained, crate-trained, and well-mannered, with an eager-to-please attitude that makes her a joy to be around. Like any young dog, she’ll benefit from continued training and structure, but she’s already off to a fantastic start and ready to keep learning.

If you’re looking for a sweet, friendly, medium-sized companion who’s equal parts playful and loving, Holly might just be your girl. She’s ready to find her forever home—and her favorite spot on your couch.

If you are interested in meeting Holly, please complete our adoption application: https://arfhumane.org/arf-adoption-application/
