As far as Hollis is concerned, every morning is the greatest morning ever, every person is someone he was hoping would stop by, and every stick he finds deserves to be carried around like he just won the lottery.<br/><br/>He's the puppy who can turn absolutely nothing into an event. A leaf blows across the yard? Chase it. You accidentally drop a sock? That's his sock now. You sit on the floor for thirty seconds? Congratulations—you've unknowingly agreed to wrestle.<br/><br/>Life with Hollis isn't quiet. It's better than quiet. It's the kind of life where you find yourself laughing because you caught him proudly sprinting across the yard with something completely useless, wearing the expression of a dog who is absolutely certain he has accomplished something extraordinary.<br/><br/>Hollis is a Dachshund Morkie mix, but whatever his DNA says, his personality is one of a kind. He's silly without being wild, affectionate without being needy, and has this uncanny ability to make everyone around him smile. Even when he's playing, he'll stop every so often just to run over, check that you're still there, accept a quick scratch behind the ears, and then zoom right back to whatever very important puppy business he was handling.<br/><br/>Hollis is already doing wonderfully with his crate training and is making great progress with potty training. He's incredibly smart, eager to please, and the type of puppy who wants to be part of everything. He doesn't care what you're doing—he just thinks it would be more fun if the two of you did it together.<br/>There is one thing Hollis feels very strongly about, though.<br/><br/>He refuses to be an only child.<br/><br/>He's spent his whole life surrounded by other dogs, and it's impossible to watch him without realizing that's where he's happiest. Whether he's chasing his siblings through the yard, stealing toys from them (only temporarily, of course), or piling up together for a nap afterward, another playful dog is his favorite kind of companion. Because of this, we will only be considering homes that already have another friendly, well-matched canine companion.<br/><br/>Here's what we love most about Hollis...
