This older puppy is expected to grow into a medium-to-large-sized adult and is looking for a family ready to help him continue learning about the world.

Hollard can be a little cautious when meeting new people, but it doesn't take long for his friendly, affectionate side to shine through. Once he feels comfortable, he's all about fun, play, and companionship. Whether he's showing off his zoomies, playing a game of fetch, or trying to convince the cats to join in a chase, Hollard brings plenty of joy and entertainment to every day.

This smart, food-motivated boy learns quickly and responds well to commands he has been taught. He enjoys having a job to do and thrives when given positive guidance and structure. His energy level is moderate, making him a great balance of playful and relaxed.

Hollard does very well in his crate, entering willingly and keeping it clean. He may whine briefly when settling in, but quickly relaxes and sleeps through the night. Providing appropriate toys helps keep him occupied and content.

He gets along very well with other dogs and cats. While he sometimes chases the cats in hopes they'll play with him, he is gentle and does not mouth or harass them.

Hollard is still learning leash skills and currently prefers not to walk on leash, so a securely fenced yard is important for potty breaks and exercise while he continues building confidence. His ideal family will be patient, committed to training, and ready to help him grow into the wonderful companion he's destined to be.

If you're looking for a beautiful, intelligent pup with a playful spirit and lots of love to give, Hollard may be the perfect addition to your family.

Apply to adopt at sfcva.org
