Canine Connections's Adoption Policy
Echo Glen Children's Center is a youth correctional facility located approximately 40 minutes east of Seattle. Canine Connections is a program that pairs the at-risk youth at Echo Glen with dogs that have not yet found successful placements. In this program the youth are taught how to train the dogs in basic obedience through a reward based system. At the end of their training each dog will take a basic canine obedience test which prospective families are encouraged to attend. Please note that our adoption fee is $300. Please E-mail canineconnectionsrescue@gmail.com or call/text 425-213-9723 for additional information and to schedule an opportunity to meet our awesome dogs. After a phone interview you are welcome to come out to meet the dog of your dreams and if it looks like a match made in heaven, you can take them home for a trial visit. After the visit, you can decide to adopt or not. They may need to return to Canine Connections to finish the training program. If you decide to adopt, you would have the option to take your dog home every weekend or leave him/her at the kennel until the training session is over. Thanks for considering a rescue dog! It's wonderful gift to yourself and your new best friend.
