Hogan's Story

This big boy is Hogan!! Hogan came into our care as an unclaimed stray.

Hogan is neutered, up to date on rabies, dhpp vaccines, tested for heartworm & tick borne diseases. On top of that, microchipped! Hogan has also been evaluated by a third party trainer and did phenomenal.

Hogan is an Anatolian Shepard which is a working breed of dog, specifically a livestock guardian breed. This means these dogs are large and have a natural instinct to protect, meaning Hogan is looking for a more tailored home, and we are going to be very specific about the "right home". Livestock guardian breed dog experience is a HUGE PLUS. Deep down, Hogan is a big lovable smoosh who just wants to snuggle, if you ask some of our volunteers and staff, however, breed characteristics are a "thing". Needless to say Hogan is a phenomenal dog, with the sweetest personality, who is looking for a very specific FURRREVER home.

If you believe you are the RIGHT home for Hogan, please contact the Blackstone Regional Animal Shelter/Blackstone Valley Animal Control at 508-883-2822 to schedule a meet and greet. Applications can be done at time of meet or ahead of time by visiting blackstonepolice.org under the Animal Control tab.

Thank you everyone!!!
Blackstone Regional Animal Shelter
Blackstone Valley Animal Control
