Hogan's Story
Meet Hogan! This 1-year-old, 50-pound cutie is the definition of a wonderful companion-sweet, polite, and full of playful charm. From the moment you meet him, his gentle nature and happy personality shine through.

Hogan is a dream in the car, riding calmly while taking in the scenery. On leash, he walks beautifully and stays right with you, making outings together relaxed and enjoyable. He's both crate trained and house trained, and he sleeps through the night without a sound or a single accident.

This boy loves to play, whether he's exploring the yard or proudly carrying around his favorite toys. One of his sweetest quirks is how he brings toys to his handler to show them off-sometimes collecting them one by one as if building his own little treasure pile. He's toy-motivated, knows "sit," and is just as happy to entertain himself as he is to play with you. Inside the home, he's incredibly respectful-he sticks to appropriate toys, settles down nicely with a bone, and has shown great manners.

Hogan has done well with children, but would likely do best with children 8+ years old as he sometimes jumps up or chases them if they're running.

Affectionate, dog-friendly, and wonderfully well-rounded, Hogan strikes the perfect balance between playful energy and easygoing companionship. He's the kind of pup who fits effortlessly into your life and fills it with joy. Hogan is ready for his next chapter-and he just might be your new best friend.

As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog to dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines.

To meet your new pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
