Hippo's Story
Hi, I'm Hippo. Life didn't start out very kind to me, but every day I'm getting my life back a little more. I'm a really happy girl who loves people, and being around my humans is my favorite thing in the world. I love toys, too, but soft toys are way too easy to shred, it's over in two minutes and honestly not very entertaining. If you've got the extra-durable kind that actually lasts a while, now that's more my speed! I love to train and I'm food and toy motivated. I'm currently learning how to drop my toys but don't worry the amazing staff can show you all the skills I've been working and how to keep me on track.

When I first came here, I could barely walk. Everyone kept believing in me, and I kept trying. Now look at me, I'm almost 100% back on my feet, running, jumping, and having the happiest time just being a dog again.

I'd do best as the only dog in the home, where I can have all the love and attention to myself. Honestly, that sounds pretty perfect to me.

I'm currently staying at our Retreat location (3250 North Decatur Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89130). If you're interested in adopting or fostering, you can apply online, and the Retreat team will reach out to schedule a meet and greet!
