Hims's Story

Meet Hims! (Est. DOB 2023). This sweet boy was dumped in our rural area and oh so very scared, we had a trap set for him to try and catch him, and one night when our Executive Director was going to shut it, she spotted him off in the distance, apprehensive, but full body wiggling at her. She said “Hims the best boy come here!” and he scooted right into her lap for some snuggles and reassurance. This sweet boy hasn’t stopped wiggling since! Hims is great with other dogs and as sweet as can be, even though he can still be a little bit shy at first. Our Kennel Manager Wyatt describes him as not the most confident dog you’ll ever meet, but says “his need for snuggles outweighs his lack of confidence!” Hims has not been cat tested but we would be happy to do so for any interested parties. Hims is good with kids and people of all shapes and sizes and loves to snuggle and get all the love. He still has a bit of apprehension about riding in cars and is probably not going to be your adventure dog, but more so your stay home and snuggle on the couch dog. Hims would love to have a dog friend in his forever home, and we would be happy to introduce him to resident pups in the home prior to adoption. Think Hims could be the one for you?
