Meet Hime
Meet Hime!
Hime (pronounced Hee-may), means Princess in Japanese, and while this sweet girl has had a hard life and may not look the part, she really is a special princess. Hime is an easy going, affectionate girl. All she wants in the whole world is love and a soft bed to sleep on. She will be 11 years old in April, 2020.
When Hime first came to us, she had almost no hair. Her bald body had masses and scabs all over it. She was also in desperate need of dental care. We spent almost 2 years getting her into better health. We got her teeth fixed and her masses removed. Then we started working on her skin. We are proud to say that she now has hair on almost 3/4 of her body. There are still places on her back and tail that have no hair and may never grow hair, but we know she feels so much better! Now she’s just looking for a loving home to settle in...maybe yours? Hime currently lives with other dogs and a cat in her foster home but she really mostly ignores them.
Adoption Process: We are not first come first served. Indigo Rescue focuses on finding good matches between dogs and families to ensure life long adoptions. We deliver all dogs to their new homes. All of our dogs are in foster homes. PLEASE NOTE: Indigo Rescue only adopts to homes within 30 miles of Beaverton because our volunteers deliver all of our dogs to their adoptive homes. We work very hard to create a family of our Indigo Rescue adopters because we want to be close enough to help in case there are any problems. We want everyone to be happy and successful!
