Hida's Story

Hi there, I'm Hida, though in the past I've gone by Ripple. I was originally surrendered because my owner couldn't afford my medical bills after I accidentally swallowed my squeaker toy, but this rescue took me in and raised funds to save me! Since then I got all of my vetting done and I spent time in a new home where I even passed a board-and-train with flying colors! In fact, I won the award for "most affectionate" at training, see how sweet I am? Before training I was really scared and shy after going through surgery and being displaced from my home, but my training gave me my confidence back and now I love car rides, and walks, and meeting new people, and all of that! I'm excellent with humans of all sizes and I especially love kids (I loved them even before the training, tiny humans are just so cool).

Unfortunately that home didn't work out for me since me and the other girl doggy there just didn't get along well. I do like spending time with other dogs and getting to socialize and play. I got a long great with the boy dogs at my previous home, but my other roommate girl dog was used to being the girl-boss of the house and I don't like being "corrected" and bossed around by other lady dogs. I would just be more comfortable in a home where I don't have to share my toys or my personal space with a bossy dog. A male, more submissive dog, would be a better companion pup for me, or even just a solo dog where we do play dates with other dogs! But I'm definitely my own girl-boss in the doggy world. My last adopter was sad to not be able to keep me, but she knew that me and her other pup just couldn't be friends.

If you like big cuddly dogs, I'm your gal. I will gladly share the bed with you, and keep you company. Come and meet me and I bet we'll get along so well!

Hida is spayed and up to date on all of her shots, and microchipped, so is ready for adoption.
