Heyward

Heyward is a sweet boy who's had a hard start in life. He was part of a hoarding situation and rescued from a neglectful situation. Upon arriving at Gigi's and having a medical exam, it was determined that he needs a bilateral knee surgery. Gigi's will be conducting the surgery and costs of the surgery are covered. He will need physical therapy post op; dogs do much better post-surgery and with PT when they are in a home and having a loving family helping them recover. Heyward is seeking just that family; one that will give him the TLC and support he'll need. <br/>Heyward has done fairly well walking on leash, seeks out companionship and leans in for affection. When meeting new dogs, he remained neutral and calm. He'll do best in a calmer home as he recovers and with a family that will be patient with him as he learns about living in a home and being doted on. <br/><br/>Heyward is a medium sized mixed breed dog, approximately 3 years young and currently weighs 30 pounds. <br/><br/>Heyward has received his full-service vet care, vaccines, pre-adoption behavior support, microchip and will be neutered.
