His start in life was tough—he spent his first 6 months in a crowded, filthy home with around 20 other dogs. Understandably, he missed out on early socialization and came to us unsure of the world around him.<br/><br/>In the 6 months he’s been in foster care, Hershey has blossomed. While he can still be cautious in new situations, it only takes him a few minutes to warm up. Once he does, he’s affectionate, loving, and eager for attention. Hershey has also made great progress with leash manners and continues to improve every day.<br/><br/>He would thrive in a quieter home with adults or older children who can give him patience and consistency as he continues to gain confidence.
