Hershey's Story
Hi! I'm Hershey!

Intake type: Surrender
DOB: 9/1/24
Gender: male
Breed: Medium sized mixed breed

I was recently surrendered to the shelter due to my previous family's living arrangements drastically changing, which has resulted in having to find a new family to love me just as much as they did. As much as I love my shelter family, I'm ready to break free and find a new home to call my own!

I can sometimes be a bit timid with strangers at first, but it doesn't take me long to open up with some kind words, and yummy snacks! I enjoy getting attention from my favorite people and love to sit in your lap for snuggles. If you're one of the lucky ones, I just might sneak in a hug or a smooch or two! I've been told I may have a bit of an adventurous side, but I sometimes need someone to give me a little reassurance to help me feel brave when meeting new people and in new environments. I'd really love to find a family who's willing to teach me how to be a confident pup so we can check out the world!

I did live with other pups in my previous home, so I may be open to having another k-9 companion to keep me company when you're out and about. I have not been around any 2 legged friends, but my shelter family feels a home with older kiddos 12+ who are able to understand and respect my boundaries would be best. As always a meet and greet is required if you have other pups or kiddos in your home to be sure we can all be the best of friends!

Do you think I may be the pup for you? Please submit an app so we can find out!
