Hershey's Story

Meet Hershey! Hershey came to CCHS as a stray near the Hatfield area on Hwy 95 towards the beginning of June. This handsome guy is about 2 years old and weighs 41.3lbs currently. Hershey is as sweet as his namesake and is ready to melt your heart in an instant! He can be a tad shy at first but give him some time to warm up to you and he'll show you just how much of a lover boy he can be! He has been adopted out once before but had to come back after not adjusting well to all of the new changes and the small kids he was living with. Hershey would benefit from a quiet home that has time to dedicate to his training and needs. He is an incredible dog who just needs someone to meet him where he's at! While we aren't entirely certain what his exact breed makeup is, we can tell you he's 100% the sweetest boy! With any rescue, training and socialization are incredibly important to the success of the pup. Apply for Hershey today!

Please note the "Start Your Inquiry" button to the right above is not submitting your application. You can click on "More About Us" to the right and then click on "Adoption Application" button which will take you to our website where you can actually apply. You can also go to cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt or bit.ly/CCHSadopt. Thank you!

Approved applicants will be notified via email. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption.

CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home. CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the Department of Animal Health - DATCP.
