Hermie's Story

1.5 year old stray that came in on 9-24-26. Absolute Sweetheart! <br/>He is absolutely wonderful with everything and everyone. He is good with dogs and cats but does prefer to not play with other dogs. He likes them but it seems that he has had a hard life before arriving at the shelter and we think he just wants to enjoy life quietly. He seems to be a young dog with an old soul. He would do best in a home with another dog where they can live together and just enjoy each other's company by sitting on a couch together or maybe just sitting in front of a fireplace where they can each enjoy their own bone. A home with another calm or older dog would be ideal.

Montgomery County SPCA's Adoption Policy
At the Montgomery County SPCA, we are dedicated to finding responsible, forever homes for all the pets in our care. To that end, we have created a thorough adoption process which helps us achieve this goal. This process includes a check of veterinary history records on any pets you currently have, and a home visit. If you rent your home, we require written proof (letter or lease) from your landlord that you are allowed to have pets. We undertake this kind of thorough review to ensure that animals who have already been discarded at least once will never have to experience this again.
