Hermes's Story
Handsome Hermes is currently thriving in foster care—and his foster dad can’t say enough good things about him. This handsome guy is the perfect mix of playful adventure buddy and laid-back couch companion. Hermes walks beautifully on leash and isn’t bothered by other dogs out on walks (though squirrels definitely catch his attention!). He knows his basic manners like "sit" and "wait," is fully housebroken with zero accidents.

He’s a playful, happy dog who loves fetch and recently mastered retrieving and dropping the ball on command. Hiking is one of his favorite activities—put him in the woods and he truly comes alive. When it’s time to relax, Hermes enjoys sunbathing by the window or curling up for a nap, especially after a good car ride (he happily snoozes in the back seat). While Hermes may be a bit cautious with some new adults at first, he warms up with patience and calm energy. Once he trusts you, he’s a total cuddle bug, happily cozying up next to you on the couch, bed, or floor.

Hermes’ ideal home is in an only pet household and with children 12 years and older. He would thrive with an adopter who enjoys outdoor adventures but also appreciates a calm, affectionate companion at home. Hermes is a loyal, loving, and well-rounded dog who would make an incredible best friend for the right home. If you’re looking for a dog who can hike all morning, fetch all afternoon, and snuggle all evening—Hermes might just be your perfect match.
