Hercules's Story

Meet Hercules – Our Gentle Giant

Hercules is a shy, timid big guy with a heart full of potential. Once he feels safe and familiar, he blossoms into a wonderfully loyal and loving companion. Though the shelter environment is a bit overwhelming for him—especially with loud noises—he quickly adjusts once he knows what to expect. A consistent routine and calm surroundings truly help him thrive.

Hercules would do best in a quieter home without small children or other animals, aside from a confident female dog of similar size who could help bring him out of his shell. He’s still working on his potty training and needs a patient, understanding person who can offer both gentle encouragement and consistent guidance.

With time, love, and structure, Hercules will show you just how incredible he can be. Are you the one to help this shy soul feel safe to shine?
