Hercules's Story
Meet Hercules!

Cat-Friendly Senior Alert!

Hercules is a stunning brindle Boxer, about 7 years young and 70 pounds of pure love. This sweet, goofy boy loves with his whole heart—and all he really wants is a soft bed and a human to share it with.

He’s your classic velcro dog, happily following you from room to room just to be near you. Hercules will melt your heart with his adorable little sighs and grunts when he’s content, and he’ll gently offer his paw when he wants a little extra love. Belly rubs? Mandatory. Snuggles? He’s an expert.

Cat-friendly superstar! Hercules has done wonderfully with his foster’s 17-year-old cat.

Dog compatibility: A bit of a mixed bag. He’s had both positive and reactive interactions, so he may do best as the only dog—but could potentially live with another calm pup with slow, proper introductions.

Energy level: Low to moderate. He enjoys leisurely 1–2 mile walks and walks nicely on leash.

Smart & food-motivated: He knows “sit” and “leave it” (with some selective hearing ). Be warned—if you leave his food bowl out, he will toss it around asking for seconds!

House manners: Fully house-trained and even taught himself to use a doggy doorbell—smart boy! He also figured out how to remove his own e-collar after surgery... so yes, he keeps you on your toes.

Travel buddy: Great in the car and absolutely loves rides.

Crate trained: Yes—with a little protest whining when you first leave (he just misses you!).

Hercules is ready to give his whole heart to someone special. Could that be you?

Applying is the first step to meet him - APPLICATION
(See our Dog Adoption FAQs before applying)
