Hercules!

🐾🐾This big boy is Hercules<br/><br/>His previous owner had him since he was a puppy. Due to unfortunate circumstances he was no longer able to care for Hercules. <br/>We tried to help his family all we could but sadly it just wasn't in the cards for Hercules.<br/>Hercules is 3 years old and although he weighs 86 pounds he was completely focused on commands leading to these pictures bringing out his softer, gentler side.<br/>Rebecca, a staff member has made it her mission to help Hercules be the best he can be. <br/>Her project since she's at her personal "dog limit" at home.<br/>Long walks with training stops in-between. <br/>Making Hercules focus on the task at hand and walk calmly, being in the moment. <br/>Fresh air and structure made for an enjoyable walk around the shelter property.<br/><br/>Hercules dog tested nicely with 2 male dogs & 1 female today. <br/>He has not been cat tested yet, but unless you have a brave cat his size could easily intimidate a kitty...<br/><br/>His owner shared that his parents were: a pure breed Bully and a pure breed Shepherd. <br/>We think he's got a beautiful smile that lights up a room.<br/>We hope there is a family out there looking for a big goofy boy! <br/><br/>To apply please go to www.amherstanimalshelter.org/adopt<br/><br/>Photo credit to MarkLuther Photography
