Hera's Story

Hera is around 2 years old and 60lb of pure sweetheart energy wrapped up in one goofy, cuddly package. She's the kind of dog that somehow manages to be playful, calm, affectionate, and independent all at the same time.

This girl is fully house trained, crate trained, rides well in the car, and does great out in public. She knows basic commands like "here," "sit," and "woah," and she's incredibly food motivated which makes her eager to learn and fun to work with. Hera would absolutely thrive with continued training because she genuinely loves pleasing her people.

At home, Hera is a total cuddle bug. She loves being as close to her humans as possible and will happily climb into your office chair while you work just to be near you. She prefers sleeping in bed with her people if allowed, but also settles quietly in her kennel when needed.

Hera has a medium to lower energy level and is not a dog who constantly needs to be entertained. She enjoys walks, tug-of-war, wrestling with her foster brother, chewing bones, and carrying around her favorite stuffies. Her foster says her signature move is the "Hera Hydraulic Press" where she uses her entire body weight to pin down her dog friends during play

She has done very well with other dogs after slow introductions and would likely enjoy a dog companion or be perfectly happy as your spoiled only dog. She has also done great with children, though because she can sometimes play a little rough, older or dog-savvy kids may be best. Hera should not go to a home with cats.

One of the best things about Hera is just how easygoing and lovable she is. She rarely barks, has never had an accident in the house, settles beautifully in her crate, and honestly just wants to be loved. Her foster describes her as goofy, gentle, sweet, and impossible not to fall in love with.

If you're looking for a loyal little bestie who will keep you laughing, cuddle you nonstop, and happily become your shadow, Hera is your girl

If the foster period is successful, the adoption can be formalized with an adoption contract.
