Henry! Sweet corgi butt! 's Story

Hello everyone! My name is Henry! I am a 20 pound, Tri color, 2 year old corgi! I was taken from a little shelter that needed to find me a soft spot to land. Going to be very honest about how I ended up everywhere! My first owners were extremely elderly, but they had always had my breed, I was just a bit too much corgi for them. They did take me to training classes, where I excelled, but I still had a little bit too much energy, so they made the heartbreaking decision to turn me over to the shelter to find me a better place to go. I used to have some leash issues and some handling issues, my foster family has had me for almost a year getting to know me and working on things with me to make me the very best canine citizen I could ever hope to be! I absolutely love to go for walks, I am fostered with small kids, small dogs, kittens, a guinea pig, and a bearded dragon. I am phenomenal with everybody and everything with your typical corgi personality. It took a long time to get me here but now it’s my time to find my perfect forever home. I have the most perfect house manners my foster family has said, while I also have amazing crate manners I do not even need to be created. I am literally the perfect boy when it comes to being able to hang around the house and not mess anything up or have any accidents. My foster mom crates me because it offers stability and a familiar routine which I love. I’m the type of dog that does well with a routine and someone who knows my breed. The only reason my foster family is not keeping me is because I still believe I need to herd the bigger dogs and unfortunately it’s almost landed me in a pretty ugly dog fight, luckily she was able to intervene and save my behind lol. How was I supposed to know the German shepherd doesn’t want me to herd her? Nobody told any of this to me haha. With that being said, I would likely do best in a home either being the only dog, or little dogs that are just like me, so I don’t get my butt in trouble! My foster family is adamant, but I do need a fence in yard but they only have a 4 foot chain-link fence and I never try to jump it or anything like that. They also take me on hike, walks, and I get to go swimming at the local pool and I have excellent recall! As you can see in one of the pictures! I am overall an amazing dog. I just need the right home!

Adoption donation fee is $500 which it is tax-deductible and goes towards the care of homeless pets with Unchained Souls Canine Rescue.

To expedite the adoption process you can send us a message at Unchained Souls Canine Rescue on Facebook to request an application or you can email us at unchainedsoulscaninerescue@yahoo.com and we will happily send you one!

All Unchained Souls Canine Rescue animals are fully vetted:
*Spayed/Neutered
*Shots updated
*Micro-chipped
*Heart-worm checked and on prevention
*On Flea and Tick Prevention

You only need to see your vet for a “meet n greet” of your new family member and to turn in their medical records.
