Hi, I’m Henry 🧡 yes, that Henry with the squishy face, soulful eyes, and a master’s degree in professional cuddling 📜💕 I was found wandering around Houston just after Christmas. My skin was dry and infected, I was thin for my size, dirty, and carrying a few old scars. I looked a little defeated 😔 but all it took was one soft baby voice and some gentle head scratches and my tail started wagging like it never stopped. That’s who I am. Pure sweetness wrapped in fur.<br/><br/>I’m about 3 to 4 years old, the perfect age. I’m past the wild puppy chaos but still young enough to zoom when the mood hits ⚡️ I’m fully potty trained, total gentleman status, I know sit, I’m working on stay, and I walk beautifully on a leash. I might give a tiny tug if a squirrel or cat crosses my path but can you blame me 🫣 I love other dogs of every size and personality and I’m great at reading the room and respecting boundaries. I’ve even met toddlers and handled it like a pro, calm and gentle 🥰 Cats are very fascinating to me. I like to observe them very closely 😳 but I’ve never been aggressive.<br/><br/>My favorite things are chasing a ball and then proudly carrying it around so you can admire my athletic achievements 🏆 collecting stuffy toys and lovingly de-fluffing them if left unsupervised 🧸 and most of all cuddling. I am a low energy boy and being next to my people is my favorite place in the whole world. Couch, bed, floor, I’m not picky as long as I’m with you. I make happy little grumbly noises when I’m feeling playful and I rarely bark because I prefer sweet little rumbles to show my joy 💕 I take my medicated baths like a champ and honestly would sit in a bubble spa forever if there’s a lick mat with peanut butter involved 🛁 Car rides are still something I’m learning. Short ones are fine, long ones can make me a little nervous, but I’m trying.<br/><br/>I am happy, docile, gentle, and so full of love. I may have had a rough start but my heart is completely open and ready for my forever family 🥹 Whoever gets me isn’t just lucky, they’re getting a loyal shadow, a professional cuddler, a soft soul, and a best friend for life.
