Hennessey's Story

Hennnessey was found as a stray on 4-17-25 and her owners were contacted by microchip but they never came to pick her up.
She is a super sweet young girl and about 1.5 years old. She likes other dogs and when shown a cat, she did not seem to show any interest so would probably be ok with one in a home.
She is very gentle and though a little shy at first, she warms up quickly and loves attention. She walks well on a leash, knows sit, and stay (most of the time). She loves treats and is very treat motivated. Though still young she hasn't shown much puppy like behavior and is a very good girl. She would be considered low to moderate energy.

Montgomery County SPCA's Adoption Policy
At the Montgomery County SPCA, we are dedicated to finding responsible, forever homes for all the pets in our care. To that end, we have created a thorough adoption process which helps us achieve this goal. This process includes a check of veterinary history records on any pets you currently have, and a home visit. If you rent your home, we require written proof (letter or lease) from your landlord that you are allowed to have pets. We undertake this kind of thorough review to ensure that animals who have already been discarded at least once will never have to experience this again.
