VIP: Hendrix is just the best boy! He is about 3 years of age and is housetrained, crate trained and will sleep in his crate. He went on a group dog walk recently and loves car rides! Hendrix was very patient while being leashed and harnessed. He was quite the gentleman along the walk, behaving and staying with his walker. Hendrix was a wonderful park buddy. When waiting to leave in the parking lot, he kept his human friend warm by cuddling/leaning into her. Hendrix got along with the other dog and was great on the walk. Overall, he's a hidden gem who will make a family very happy Hendrix really likes belly rubs and head scratches and he enjoys meeting people. Adopted animals are not able to go to their new home until spay and neuter surgery has been done. Adoptions are first come first serve, and no appointment or application is needed. Plano Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Adoptions are first come first serve. There is no application. Anyone over 18 years of age is eligible to adopt provided that they meet the adoption criteria for that specific animal. Criteria can range from having basic knowledge of the animal’s species or breed, having an established veterinary history, not having young children, the animal being legal to own in the city they live in, the breed they’re interested in being accepted at their apartments, etc. If a potential adopter doesn’t meet the criteria in place for that animal, they will be encouraged to look at other animals that may not have those restrictions in place. The criteria must also be met in order to visit with an animal.
