Hemlock's Story
Meet Hemlock

A handsome 2-year-old Boxer mix with a big heart and an even bigger comeback story.

Hemlock was found abandoned in a cemetery alongside his lady friend "Laurel" and what's believed to be their pup "Rue". Despite a rough start, this boy has shown just how resilient and loving he truly is. When you first pass his kennel, Hemlock might put on a bit of a tough guy act - barking to let you know he is there-but don't be fooled. Step outside with him, and you'll quickly discover he's all sweetness and tail wags.

Hemlock has become a favorite among dog walkers thanks to his great leash manners and his love for getting out and exploring. He especially enjoys strolls with Laurel, showing off his gentle and social side. He's also a smart boy who already knows how to "give paw" and he's eager to keep learning with his future family. We have no reason to believe Hemlock can't live with another dog.

Because Hemlock seems to be a protector he would do best in a home with older children who understands how to give him time to settle and not leave doors wide open.

Hemlock may talk a big game from behind kennel doors, but in reality, he's just a loving, loyal companion waiting for someone to give him the second chance he deserves.
