This tiny guy loves men ! <br/><br/>Hector was one of several feral Chihuahuas recently taken in by St. Louis Senior Dog Project. (The dogs, on their own, only had access to food and water.) Like the other chihuahuas, Hector is slowly getting used to being an indoor pet, but still needs time to trust.<br/><br/>Hector's coat is a rich, velvety soft mixture of browns and rusts. So gorgeous! <br/><br/>Hector has done very well adjusting to living indoors. He enjoys hanging with the other small dogs in his foster home. (He has not been around cats.) Hector has been slowly training on the leash in the foster's backyard, but has been wary of walks. With time, we believe he can learn to enjoy longer walks in a safe, controlled environment. <br/><br/>Hector is working on his house training. He goes potty outside and on potty pads. He still can have accidents . <br/><br/>We do not recommend a home for Hector with small children. Hector would thrive best in a house with another dog. <br/><br/>Hector enjoys relaxing or sleeping near his human companion atop or snuggled under a soft blanket. Once he trusts, Hector will roll over and offer his belly for a rub - a favorite enjoyment of his - except for treats, of course! He does not, however, enjoy peanut butter.
