Hector's Story

Meet Hector!

This handsome 48-pound hound mix is about 10 years old and in search of a peaceful home with a comfy bed and people who love him for who he is.

Hector was found by a kind stranger with a wire tightly wrapped around his front leg. Sadly, the damage was too severe to save it, and amputation was the only option.

In the short time he’s been with us he has grabbed all of our hearts! Hector has shown us just how special he is. He’s calm, quiet, and house-trained! He gets along with other dogs and greets everyone with a wagging tail and big “smile.”
Hector’s idea of a perfect day is rolling in the grass, soaking up the sunshine, and then stretching out for a cozy nap (preferably with plenty of belly rubs). As a senior pup, he’s not in a rush and would much rather enjoy life at a slower pace. Because of his mobility, he’d do best in a home with few stairs where he can move comfortably and safely.

If you’re searching for a loyal, calm companion who knows how to appreciate the little things, Hector is ready to meet you.
