Heather Locklear's Story

*Name: Heather
*Age: 5 years old
*Current Weight: 54 pounds
*Rescued from: Massachusetts Neglect Case
*Adoption fee: $550 (includes $50 refundable positive training commitment deposit)
*Health: Up to date on vaccines

Heather Locklear was named by her previous shelter in Georgia. We think the name suits her as she is definitely a timeless beauty, and we loved Amanda from Melrose Place. ICONIC!

Heather was adopted for a year by someone who did not take the best care of her. She was not given heartworm preventatives despite being free of the disease, and was surrended to local animal control in Massachusetts after her previous owner moved to the area. She was sadly positive for the disease. She has had an angel medical foster since October 2024, who has helped get her through her heartworm treatment. Heather's fight to get healthy has been nothing short of miraculous; she such a warrior! She is now heartworm free, has had a clear echocardiogram, and it's high time for her to have her forever home!

Heather is potty & crate trained, good in the car, food motivated, respectful of the home when uncrated (though will counter surf if you leave things out!), and she loves to love you. Cuddling is her favorite. She comes with 6 private training sessions with a Bark n' Roll certified trainer to get her adopter up to speed on her extensive skills.

Heather was fostered with a frenchie, who was calm and respectful, and they did well. We have not been able to successfully co-mingle her off leash with other pets without her getting overstimulated so we do recommend that she be the main solo character pet-wise in her home.

If you would like to meet Heather please complete an application on our site. We will then be setting up meet & greets. She is being fostered North of Boston.

Heather is available for Meet and Greets, and our foster to adopt program. Please let us know if you would like to meet her by emailing us at rescue@bark-n-roll.com.

To apply to adopt, fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. While volunteers review applications as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the following information about our adoption process:

LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents. We rarely know a dog's exact age or full breed mix of dogs, as our information is usually limited.

RNR's ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting one of our adoptable pups is to fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. Once we receive your application, one of our volunteers will contact you, review our adoption process, and answer any additional questions you may have.
