Hazel's Story

Meet Hazel! Hazel was a foster out of Pinal county. She escaped over a year ago and was not found until one of our volunteers humanely trapped her. She had been seen for several days near a Walmart. Hazel was trapped and we found that she was microchipped. We were able to bring her into our rescue at that time. Hazel is a little shy at first but warms up quickly. She loves other dogs and to snuggle up to you. She walks on a leash too. Hazel is very sweet. Hazel loves stuffed toys! She loves tossing them around the house. We are looking for her forever home. We believe she was found when she initially escaped her foster but was able to get out at some point from the people that picked her up. Because of this she will need to be in a home with children 12 or older or no children. She is flight risk and considered a door dasher. Hazel is spayed, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and 4DX (tick/heartworm test) negative. Hazel is approximately 2-4 years old and weighs 29 pounds. Paw Posse Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy

All potential adopters fill out an application. If we feel based off the application that they may be a good fit we do a phone interview. If that goes well we do a meet and greet. If there are other dogs involved they are included in the meet and greet. If that goes well we move to the home inspection. If they pass we can process the application. Sometimes dogs don't mesh the first time meeting. We will set up additional meet and greets for the dogs. There may be things in their home that we ask them to change (storage box by a fence, lock on the gate, barrier at the front door). Once we verify these items repaired/in place we will approve the application. We follow up with our adopters regularly. We ask for updated photos and help with any concerns they may be having.
