Hazel's Story

Hazel is a 12 year old senior pure breed dachshund who was surrendered to the Riverside Animal Shelter after her owner died. Poor Hazel was heartbroken and we're determined to find her a new forever home. Hazel is 7 pounds and a very gentle girl. Her breed is known to live the longest of any other dog breed! Hazel has received a much needed dental and has been fully medically vetted. Despite her old age she loves to walk around and be active with those short little legs. She adores other dogs and will always try to cuddle them. Hazel bonds hard with her people and she's looking for a home who would love this amazing girl.

Let's Rescue Dogs's Adoption Policy
The first step in the process is to apply for the dog you are interested in on our website, www.letsrescuedogs.net If approved, you will be contacted via email. You will be required to submit a virtual home check by recording a clear video of where your new pet will eat, sleep, play and your backyard if applicable. If your home check approved, our adoption coordinator will schedule a phone interview to go over any questions and/or concerns you may have and to schedule a day and time for a meet and greet. If the meet and greet goes well you may take the dog home for a 7 day adoption trial. If you feel the dog is still a great fit after the trial, the adoption is finalized by signing the adoption contract and paying the adoption fee which includes the dogs spay/neuter, microchip, and core vaccines. For questions or concerns, please email adoptions@letsrescuedogs.net
