Hawkeye's Story
Hawkeye is a neutered male tricolor Sheltie. Our vet believes he is around 2.5 years old, and he currently weighs 40 lbs. Hawkeye's owner passed away, and he came to us with a group of dogs who weren't being cared for in the way we hope for all of our rescues. He is up to date on all of his vet care, and has been neutered. He is crate trained and seems to be housetrained. Hawkeye also came to us positive for heartworms, and has been treated. He has already completed his 8 weeks of crate rest, and is ready for his adoptive home. Hawkeye is very shy and is looking for a home with experience rehabilitating dogs from breeding/hoarding situations. He gets along well with the other dogs he has met, but hasn't been tested with cats. He is not recommend for a home where he will come into contact with children under 10 years old. A securely fenced yard is required for Hawkeye's adoptive home. If you're interested in meeting or adopting Hawkeye, the first step would be filling out an adoption application via our website scsheltierescue.com. His adoption donation is $400. MARCH 2026
