HAWK's Story
CROSS POSTING ONLY **** CONTACT EMAIL ADDRESS IN POST, NOT THE RESCUE *****
Housebreaken: yes and has been trained to go in a designated area in the yard. He would not be an ideal dog for apartment or condo living.

Cat friendly: never tested but he does enjoy chasing squirrels so it's probably best to stick to a fish friendly home instead.

Dog friendly : Hawk currently lives with another large male dog since puppy hood. He plays nice with others at doggy day care but is dog reactive on leash and reactive in the yard. With proper introduction, Hawk could do great with another balanced dog. He would do best in a home with a fenced in yard with minimal opportunities to react to dogs and kids walking by.

Kid friendly: currently lives with small children but will do best in a calm home with Adults only who will continue to reinforce his training and respect his boundaries.

Crate trained: yes but he hasn't used a crate since he was a puppy. He is trustworthy being free in the house or given the command "place" on his bed.

Basic manners : Hawk is professionally trained and uses an electric stim collar. He is very food driven and wants to please. He will walk in a heel, comes when he is called, on command, he will stay in his place and will wait his turn.

History: One household home since 7 weeks but requires a home less hectic and with less children and dogs around.

Bio: 3 year old male - pointer mix born on 8/28/18.

Hawk is an intelligent athlete. His speed and aligity is matched by his willingness to please. He'll play fetch for hours and make running around look easy!

He is a true introvert-enjoys people but sometimes people can be overwhelming and will need a soft bed to relax in while company is over. When given time to warm up, he'll paw you for head scratches and nudge you for cuddles. He's curious in nature and is a great problem solver. Although he isn't allowed on the furniture, he loves to curl up next to you but also enjoys a playful wrestling match.

Sunbathing is his jam but don't ask him to cool off in the pool or go out in the rain. He needs an owner who can help protect his boundaries when he is feeling insecure and unsure. The perfect owner will be willing to reinforce the 2+ years of training.

CONTACT EMAIL IS: aLm2884@gmail.com or emily@mycaninesports.com
