Harvey loves attention and will put on his best happy dance to greet you and get you to give him all the scritchies and cuddles his heart desires. This little burst of happy energy needs to be your only fellow. A low-rider, he will fit well into just about any home. The Animal Shelter - Calhoun County Humane Society's Adoption Policy

We are open by appointment. Please inquire before visiting the shelter to make the right match. Please only bring small children after narrowing the field to a few dogs you want to meet in the outdoor play yard. An approved application is required and most dogs will need a fenced yard. Tethering, chaining, and roaming are unacceptable. All animals are vaccinated and will be spayed/neutered and microchipped (dogs) prior to leaving the shelter. This is a real bargain, as our adoption fee of $125 for dogs and $75 for cats is much lower than the average vetting bill!
