Harry's Story

Breed: Unknown. We received two photos of his mother and were told she is Boxer Hound mix. We have no way of knowing what his father is. Mom is tricolor (white with black and brown markings)

DOB: 11/14/24

Weight: 25 lbs currently. Could be 30 - 35 lbs when fully grown.

Likes: Snacks, toys, and cuddles!

Dislikes: Pooping in the rain

Medical Care: Harry was a bottle baby from the time he was one week old. His mom was 10 years old and could not produce milk for him and his siblings. He has been with the rescue since one week of age. He developed puppy strangles at just 3 weeks old and had a lot of struggles developing when he was younger. But he has come through it beautifully and now is a completely healthy and growing boy! Harry has had all age appropriate shots, is on monthly heartworm and flea prevention, neutered and has been microchipped.

Foster Notes: Harry is a fun loving and happy go lucky puppy! He does sometimes get a little nervous in public settings and will run to his mom for reassurance. Harry loves other dogs and would do well with another confident dog in his new home. He is pretty avoidant of children, so he would do best in a home with older children, if any.

If you are interested in giving Harry the permanent, loving home that he deserves, please fill out an application at the link below to get the ball rolling on a meet and greet.

https://form.jotform.com/202046006590041

If this link doesn't open by clicking on it, just copy and paste it into a new browser.

Adopters must live within a 45 mile radius of Winston-Salem. If you see a dog or puppy on our website and would like to start the process of saving a rescued animal – please email steppingstonesrescue@gmail.com and request an application. The application will be processed by an adoption counselor. We will make contact with you to answer any questions you may have and review your application. Incomplete applications will not be considered, as the information you give us on your application is essential in determining the compatibility of the dog you have requested with your life-style. At this time, we will also conduct a vet reference to determine the health of your past and current animals. ALL potential adoptive families must have up-to-date veterinary records on all pets currently residing in the home. We believe for health and temperament reasons that it is in the best interest of the dog to be spayed or neutered
