Harry's Story
Meet Harry - The Quiet Little Puppy Waiting for Someone to Believe in Him

Harry is a young pup, approximately 6-8 months old, with a gentle heart and a sensitive soul. While his sisters from the litter have found homes of their own, Harry and his brother Ron are still waiting for their chance to experience what it means to be someone's beloved family member.

Harry is fully vetted, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and current on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. His mom is a Chihuahua mix under 20 lbs, and his dad is a Pit Bull/Dachshund mix under 40 lbs, creating one adorable and unique little guy.

Harry's story is much like his brother's. Because the rescue did not have room to take them in, the boys have remained with the owners of their parents. Unfortunately, they spend much of their time kenneled, and there simply hasn't been enough time available for the socialization and training that growing puppies need. Outside of occasional rescue events and volunteer outings, Harry has had very limited opportunities to experience the world.

Of the two brothers, Harry is the more reserved one. He tends to look to Ron for confidence and reassurance, often letting his brother take the lead in new situations. While they care about each other, we believe both boys would ultimately thrive in separate homes where they can develop their own confidence, build individual bonds with their people, and learn how to navigate the world independently.

Harry is very shy with new people and unfamiliar environments. Like many under-socialized puppies, he can become overwhelmed and shut down when things feel scary or uncertain. He is still working on potty training, isn't comfortable on a leash yet, and will need a patient family willing to help him learn at his own pace.

The good news? Harry is a sweet boy who wants to trust. Beneath his timid exterior is a puppy who simply hasn't had the opportunities he deserves. With kindness, consistency, positive reinforcement, and lots of treats, Harry has the potential to grow into a loyal and loving companion. He does like kids and warms up to them more quickly.

We are actively considering serious foster homes near California, Missouri, in addition to adopters, because Harry urgently needs more one-on-one attention and socialization than he is currently receiving.

Harry isn't looking for perfection. He's looking for someone willing to give him time, guidance, and understanding. If you have a quiet home, a patient heart, and a desire to help a shy puppy discover his confidence, Harry may be the one who's been waiting for you all along.

If you are serious and ready to add a new addition to your family, please reach out to Michaela call or text 660-723-5010.

Meet & greet required at potential adopters home!!
