It's so sad when older animals are found because we know they were loved at one time by someone. When they need their people the most, they can't find them. Harry is trying to keep a positive attitude and loves to go for walks. He has since gotten his nails trimmed. He is a loving and gentle boy who will likely find curled up in his kennel sound asleep. We hope there is someone out there looking for an older, sweet soul who can keep him happy, safe, and loved in his golden years. The Humane Society of Clinton County, Indiana's Adoption Policy
We require a "foster to adopt" program for all adopters, whether it be that the pet that you are interested in still has some medical work up to be done or whether we just want to give the pet time to adjust. An application is required to be filled out at the time of adoption. No appointment required to visit the animals during open hours. Upon finalizing adoption, each pet is current on vaccinations, altered, microchipped, FeLV/FIV test and/or heartworm tested. All animals over 7 years of age will have bloodwork performed at the vet. All known medical issues will be taken care of at the vet prior to finalizing adoption (dental cleanings, hernia repairs, mass removals, etc.).
