MEET HARRIETT KANE!<br/><br/>This sweet girl is about 4 years old and weighs just 9 pounds. Harriett is deaf, but that certainly doesn’t stop her from enjoying life! She loves spending time with her foster family and furry siblings, eats well, and absolutely loves treats and belly rubs.<br/><br/>Harriett arrived at a local shelter with head bobbing and unusual gait. She was evaluated by the neurology team at Texas A&M, where an MRI and spinal tap revealed congenital abnormalities in her brain. These are believed to be the cause of her symptoms and should not affect her quality of life or longevity. Harriett doesn’t let any of this slow her down—she runs and plays with her foster siblings and is one happy little girl!<br/><br/>Because Harriett is deaf, she will need a family willing to communicate with her using visual cues and give her a little extra patience and understanding.
