Harriet 's Story
With my trusty journal, I’m on a mission to figure out this big, new world around me! My name is Harriet and just like my namesake, Harriet the Spy, I am a curious little explorer. I’m a 4 year old, 41 pound Cattle Dog and Pit Bull Terrier mix (confirmed by my litter mate's DNA testing) with a big personality packed into a perfectly sized body.

I’ve already mastered the basics—sit, stay, and wait—and I’m proud to say I’m house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained too. I like to think of myself as a well-mannered adventurer who just happens to have a playful, high-energy side. I get along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and kids, so I’m happy to join just about any kind of family. Whether it’s playtime in the yard, a walk around the neighborhood, or just hanging out with my people, I’m always ready to be part of the action. I’m also pretty good at keeping myself entertained with my toys when you’re busy.

Fresh air, new smells, and room to explore make me one happy girl. That’s why I’d love a house setting with a fenced yard. I also ride great in the car (I’ve been trained to hang out in the floorboard), so I’m always ready for the next adventure. and Ive also taken an across the country road trip a couple of times. I’ll let you know if someone’s at the door—I take my “home security” job seriously—but once I see that everything’s okay, I settle in just fine. I might bark a little at first when new people come in, but give me a moment and I’ll warm up. Especially if belly rubs are involved… I love belly rubs. My previous family loved me very much, but they were a military family who had to move to a remote area in Alaska where I couldn’t go. So now I’m here, journaling my way through this new chapter, hoping to find my next forever home. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, playful companion who’s equal parts explorer and cuddle bug—I think we should meet. I have a feeling our story together could be my best adventure yet.

My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form! We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. *Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out*

Don't forget to LIKE us on Facebook!-www.facebook.com/rescueonespringfield

*Remember, dogs are pack animals.
