**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

Meet Harper, a male Feist mix, 3 years old, 20-25 lbs.

Harper is an adorable little dog with the most unique face, bat wing ears and one blue eye.

Harper follows his foster mom around everywhere but settles himself once he knows where she is. He's a lover and a snuggle bug but again, will settle by himself anywhere there’s a soft bed or blanket.

Harper loves plush toys! He plays tug with the female dog in his foster home but also entertains himself by throwing one around. He'll also chase a ball in the yard. I think he'd be ok with another dog that matches his energy or as the only dog.

Harper enjoys running around exploring the yard so I think a fenced yard would be good for him. He needs some work on basic manners but is food motivated so I think that will come quickly. He is ok on the leash and will improve with more practice. He's very curious and likes to jump and climb.

Harper did great in the car and bath and loves everyone he's met so far.

If you're looking for an all around great little pup to steal your lap and heart, Harper is the guy for you!

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
