Harlow's Story

Hi, I'm Harlow. I’m a brindle, Beagle mixed girl around 2 years old and just 25 pounds. I originally came in as a stray and was very timid and nervous around so many new faces. I still watch people cautiously, but I’m still building up my courage to seek out affection from those I trust. In this big, bustling world, I find comfort in having other dogs around, their presence soothes my timid heart. I love to play with dogs my size or smaller (like puppies) but am intimidated by large, rowdy dogs. I do wonderful in my crate and use it as my safe space. I also love to be outside but I am still a Beagle so I follow my nose everywhere. Luckily I do wonderful on a leash and am very excited to spend time outdoors playing or walking. I dream of a quiet home, where patience and gentle voices help me find my confidence. I promise to be a loyal companion, learning and growing at your side. Adopt me, and together, we'll explore the world at our own pace, finding joy in the simple, quiet moments!

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the application at the following link https://www.humanesocietyofwilkes.org/adopt/application. You can email julianshumate@gmail.com with any questions.
