Meet Harlow!<br/><br/>After raising her puppies, it's finally Harlow's turn to find the loving home she's always deserved.<br/><br/>This sweet Beagle girl was found as a pregnant stray in rural South Carolina and gave birth to her puppies in a local shelter. Thanks to one of our rescue partners, Harlow and her babies were taken in and given a second chance. Her puppies have all found rescue and this sweet mama girl came into our care.<br/><br/>Harlow is doing well in foster care and has proven to be a gentle, easygoing girl once she settles in. Like many rescue dogs, she needed a few weeks to feel comfortable and is still a little unsure in new situations, but her confidence continues to grow every day. She has a true "live and let live" personality and has integrated easily with the other dogs in her foster home. While she enjoys their company and often chooses to nap beside them, she's independent enough to thrive as an only dog, too. Whether she's part of a pack or the center of your world, Harlow is simply happy to be included.<br/><br/>She's a moderate-energy dog who enjoys exploring the outdoors, meeting new people, and, above all else, playing with toys. Her foster mom can't say enough about how much Harlow loves her toys! She happily empties the toy basket, entertains herself, and occasionally breaks into joyful zoomies around the house. She's also done well meeting new people and recently enjoyed her first spa day, taking her bath, nail trim, and ear cleaning like a champ.<br/><br/>Like many dogs who have spent much of their lives living outdoors instead of being pets, Harlow is still learning the rules of home life. She's making great progress with housetraining, does well in her crate, and is beginning to learn leash skills. She can be curious enough to investigate the kitchen counters or climb into your lap without realizing your laptop is already there, but it's all part of her learning the rules of home life. She isn't destructive; she’s just figuring things out.<br/><br/>What stands out most about Harlow is her gentle, loving nature. Her foster mom describes her as a very sweet dog who has made great progress since leaving the shelter.
