Harley's Story
Harley
2 years old
Blue American Bully Mix
Fully vetted, neutered, male

Harley is a docile, sweet, and goofy love bug who doesn't quite realize how big he is. He'd happily curl up on top of you if he could, because in his mind, he's a lap dog. But underneath his big, lovable personality is a tender heart thats been hurt before—Harley has deep anxiety about being left behind.

Crates? Not his thing, but if he eventually becomes a PKR dog, his foster will be provided with a heavy duty crate to encourage good habits and practice with crating. He panics when confined, and his first experiences in a home showed just how strong his fear of abandonment is—he even chewed through doors trying to get back to people. Harley is a notorious escape artist, able to slip harnesses and even scale an 8-foot fence, so a truly secure yard is a must. But when he feels safe and trusts his people, he wants nothing more than to be your shadow, following you wherever you go.

Harley's the definition of a homebody—short daily walks are enough for him, and he'd much rather snooze in his favorite dog bed than go on extreme adventures or long hikes. He loves greeting other dogs, but he's more cautious with new people, taking his time to decide if they're worthy of his trust.

When Harley came to his finder in February 2025 as a stray, he was underweight, terrified, and unsure of the world. But in his foster home, his true personality has bloomed.

Dogs: Harley met our PKR tester dogs and did wonderful. Which includes males, females, small breed, medium, and larges! He plays gently, loves deeply, and gets along wonderfully with his energetic foster dog brother—even when that brother tugs at his face and bounces all over him. Harley rarely corrects him, instead giving a patient sigh or asking his foster mom for a little backup.

Cats: Harley currently lives with a cat and does just fine!

He thrives in a calm, understanding home that will nurture his fears and help him continue learning the world isn't such a scary place. Yelling or harsh tones send him running, so he needs a gentle, patient person who will show him he's safe, loved, and truly wanted.

Harley is a very special boy, looking for a very special person—someone who will make him feel one-of-a-kind.

The Basics

Knows sit, down, and paw
Comfortable having his paws handled (nail trim tolerance unknown)
Neutered and vaccinated (including Bordetella & rabies)

If you've been looking for a loyal, loving companion who will stick by your side through everything, Harley is ready to be that dog. All he needs is someone willing to love him as fiercely as hell love you
