OUR ADOPTION PROCESS AND APPLICATION ARE AVAILABLE AT WWW.SOHODOGRESCUE.ORG. OUR ADOPTION FEE IS $300.

Harley is a sweet female Australian Shepherd mix who started her time in our rescue by giving us quite a scare! Harley had several lumps on her chest, and the original biopsy suggested mammary cancer. We moved forward with her surgery, all of the lumps were removed, and it turned out they were ALL non-cancerous! Now that Harley has recovered from surgery she is ready for adoption so read on!

Harley is about 7 years old, she weighs 27 pounds, and she has a soft black tri-colored coat. She is housebroken, crate-trained, and this smart little cookie has started to learn her basic obedience commands. Harley is a great traveler in the car who gets excited about where she might be going but she settles quickly. Harley also walks nicely on a leash, though does pull some, especially if she sees a squirrel. Squirrels are for chasing, right?

Harley adores people! This high Velcro cutie loves to snuggle and she especially enjoys belly rubs. Harley also enjoys the company of other dogs. She has shown some interest in playing with her dog pals, but mostly she is a “peaceful coexister” around other dogs. Harley is a medium energy girl with a nice off switch. She really loves walks and hikes with her people, and after a nice walk she is always ready to just hang out and enjoy some of those belly rubs! Harley has not been exposed to cats.

Harley’s ideal family includes one or more caring humans who will spend time with her and take her on regular walks and outings. A dog pal would be great but not necessary, and any children in the home should be at least 10 years old. Harley is a very special dog, a gentle soul who will continue to thrive with a loving family.
