Harley's Story

Hi! I'm Harley, I'm almost one and a half years old, 45lb mixedbreed girl with a whole lot of heart and an even bigger wiggle. My name might make you think of a motorcycle and honestly, I do have a little “rev” in my step when I'm excited but I'm also a snuggly sweetheart who loves being close to my people. I'm currently looking for a foster home or a forever family who's ready for a joyful companion like me.

Favorite Things: Harley is an enthusiastic, social girl who loves being part of her family's daily rhythm. She enjoys outdoor time, exploring new scents and relaxing near her people once she's had her fun. Toys are optional in her world; she's just as happy soaking up affection or following her humans around.

Training and Manners: Harley is house trained when let out regularly and has a nice foundation of basic manners. She sleeps comfortably in her secure area at night and handles car rides without fuss. She's still polishing her leash skills but her foodmotivated, clever nature makes her eager to learn. Harley is confident and expressive, especially when she prefers navigating situations on her own rather than being picked up.

Health and Care: Harley is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. She'll need monthly heart worm and flea/tick prevention, like all other dogs. Harley does have a skin issue that is currently being managed with medicated baths twice a week. She benefits from occasional nail trims to keep her comfortable.

Other Animals: Harley has experience with calm, laidback dogs but generally prefers to keep to herself around most others. She hasn't been tested with cats and would likely be most comfortable in a home without them.

Children: Harley has not lived with children, but her friendly, confident nature suggests she may do well with respectful kids who understand how to interact gently with a young dog.

Ideal Home: Harley can be left alone for several hours and relaxes in a secure area when her family is out. She'd be right at home in an apartment, townhome, or condo as long as she gets regular walks and a chance to explore. A family who appreciates her playful spirit and affectionate heart will find her a wonderful addition.

Overall: Harley is a bright, loving young dog who brings warmth and cheerful energy to every day. True to her name, she's a little “Harley” with plenty of heart, always ready to roll into your life with her happy shimmy. She's hoping to find a foster or forever home where she can share all that sweetness.

If you think Harley could be the perfect match, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to submit an adoption application. If it looks like a great fit, her foster family will reach out with more information. Her adoption donation is $400.
