Harbor's Story
Let's talk about Harbor.

Harbor is... a lot of dog at first. We're not going to sugarcoat that. He has plenty to say when you first meet him (especially at the fence), and he can take a little extra time to warm up--particularly with some men.

But here's the thing... if you're willing to give him that time, you'll quickly understand why all of us at Raskel's Rescue absolutely adore him.

Harbor is a smart boy who lives for a good game of fetch. And when we say he loves ball--we mean he would happily play for hours... days... possibly forever if you let him. If there's a ball involved, Harbor is all in and ready to work. He already knows "sit," is working on "down," and is eager to learn more (especially if his favorite toy is part of the deal).

Once he knows you, Harbor shows his softer side. He can be snuggly, affectionate, and incredibly loyal to his people.

And honestly, his story explains a lot. Harbor was found tied to a lamp post on a busy highway--left there, alone, for who knows how long. So yes, he has some trust issues at first... and we don't blame him one bit.

But despite that, Harbor has come so far. He's made huge strides with us, and watching him open up has been something really special.

He's not going to be an instant, easy dog for everyone--but for the right person, Harbor is going to be an incredible companion.

Come meet him. Spend a little time. Throw a ball.
We think you'll see exactly what we see. 💙Adoption Hours are Thursday through Sunday from noon to 5pm. You do not need an appointment to come by and meet animals during adoption hours.
