Happy NY!'s Story

Meet Happy NY!

Happy is a young male Lab mix puppy! He is about 10 months of age as of 8/1/26 and weighs almost 60 lbs.

Happy was the last remaining pup of his litter, left alone at a county shelter. Our southern rescue partners pulled him, knowing that a rescue would step up and make sure that puppy stayed out of the cold shelter alone. Happy adapted to his foster home quickly and has been with them from the time he was 10 weeks of age.

Happy longs to find his forever home with an active family. He is still full of puppy energy and loves playing with the other dogs in his foster home. He does really well with all dogs, from tiny chihuahuas up to German shepherds. He sleeps through the night with no problems in his crate, and does well during the day being crated along side the other dogs. The foster family reports that they have seen ZERO aggression issues with Happy, and never once heard him growl at another dog or person. He truly lives up to his breed and his name!!!

Happy has been around small kids a few times, and does like to jump when he gets excited. So we recommend kids in the home that are a bit older. Happy also does really well keeping himself busy with toys if other dogs in the foster home are resting, but we are looking for an adoptive home with an additional dog for him to play with.

Happy is THE GOODEST boy and we CANNOT believe someone hasn't scooped him up!

Adoption fee: $195

To complete our online dog adoption application, or to view adoption policies and view other available dogs, please visit: https://www.peppermintpiganimalrescue.org/pet-adoption/available-dogs/

To learn more about Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue and Peppermint Pig Thrift and Gift, learn how to get involved, or to make a donation, please visit: linktr.ee/peppermintpigcincy
