Happy Meal is coming up on his rescue anniversary. Let's help him find his forever home!<br/><br/>Happy has come a long way in his almost year of foster from anxious stray to absolute lover boy. His big shepherd personality has really come out after decompression and he can boast glowing reviews from his veterinary behavioralist team! Not only is Happy loyal and active, he loves treats and is a complete cuddle bug. He has been working very hard to become confident on his own and with the help of medication and a regular schedule, he can be left for up to 8 hours a day in his cozy kennel.<br/><br/>Even though he is past the puppy stage of life, he his playful and loves to romp in a fenced in yard. His curious side does still come out so he needs to be monitored at all times or in his crate to protect items around the house becoming unintended chew toys. Don't worry! This boy is type A and loves a routine so he has learned when bedtime is and will put himself to bed with a nice nylabone to chew.<br/><br/>Being a typical shepherd, he takes time to warm up to a new person but he is a Velcro dog once he does! If you are looking for a buddy to keep you company while you work from home then Happy Meal is the dog for you!<br/><br/>Recipe for success:<br/>-Someone who is home more than not. He's not a social butterfly who wants to go to dog parks or restaurant patios, he prefers chilling at home.<br/>-Fenced in yard (working on leash manners but a skilled escape artist)<br/>-Continue behavior medication and do a follow up appointment with Union Lake<br/>-Not cats or small animals (high prey drive)<br/>-No young kids (he doesn't always know his own strength)
