Happy's Story

Meet Happy | Apply Now

Happy is a 10-year-old Dachshund weighing 10 lbs. She was rescued from a horrendous puppy mill, but you'd almost never know what she's been through. Her name fits her bright personality perfectly.

Everyone who has the honor of meeting this little lady has fallen in love. She's super silly and loves to play, with toys or just worming around on the couch. Happy is happiest when she's snuggled up near her human, but if you're not available, she'll find another lap to occupy just the same.

Girlie pop loves her outdoor adventures, albeit a little slow and curious about every single scent outside. And you can't forget to let her accessorize! Happy maintains the cutest wardrobe of sweaters and coats. She's small but stands out wherever she is, with her charm inside and out.

Happy has mild, early-stage heart valve disease (Stage B1), but it doesn't slow her down one bit! She's still active and enjoys life to the fullest, with no medication or activity restrictions needed. She just needs a routine heart checkup once a year to monitor her condition.

She'll definitely have a lot of adoring fans, so make sure you apply to adopt her before the event! Happy needs a very special and dedicated home, and we will do everything to make that happen.

Meet her at her grand debut on Saturday, October 31, 1-4pm at Just Food For Dogs, 625 Driggs Ave., Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
